The Morrisville State College women’s basketball team dropped a 65-44 North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) decision Wednesday night to host Keuka College, despite a tremendous defensive effort.
Morrisville State drops to 0-7 overall, while Keuka improves to 4-1.
Jennel Paul (Brooklyn, N.Y.) led the Mustangs with 13 points on the night, adding four assists to her tallies, while teammate Courtney Purcell (Fabius, N.Y.) chipped in nine points and grabbed five rebounds in the Morrisville State efforts.
Three posted double figures for the Storm, including Jessica Bandrowsi who had a team high 21 points and six steals. Marian Mouzon and Danielle Gravel added 14 and 13 points, respectively, to the win.
Morrisville State led 28-25 at the half before Keuka went on a 23-0 run in the second half to claim the victory.
Morrisville State returns to the court Monday, Nov. 17, hosting Nazareth College at 5 p.m.
