The Morrisville State College women's basketball team struggled in the season opener, falling 59-34 on the road to host Houghton College in non-conference action Tuesday night.
Morrisville State hit just 14-of-68 shots from the floor, shooting just 20 percent, while Houghton connected on 34 percent of shots made.
Tierra Hollins-Hill (Bronx, NY) led the Mustangs efforts with seven points and eight rebounds, while Jenna March (Munnsville, NY) grabbed 10 boards in the efforts.
Morrisville State (0-1) returns to the court Friday, facing SUNY Potsdam at 6 p.m. at the SUNY Canton tournament.
