The Morrisville State College women’s cross country team recorded a 7th place finish overall Saturday morning, compiling 180 scoring points at the SUNYIT Invite in Marcy.
Senior Billie Jo Hinds (Oriskany, N.Y.) led Morrisville State with a seventh place individual finish, crossing the 5K race line with a time of 21:16, out of 143 runners.
Junior Amanda Hunt (Tunkhannock, Pa.) was second to cross for the Mustangs, finishing in 30th place with a time of 22:17. Newcomer Laura Harmon (Millford, N.Y.) followed with a time of 22:44, good enough for 37th overall, while teammates Evelia Hehir (Washingtonville, N.Y.) and Chelsey Downs (Attica, N.Y.) rounded out team scoring with finishes of 23:24 and 26:30, respectively.
Oswego won the 12 team invitational, recording 45 scoring points.
Morrisville State travels to Oswego next Saturday for the Laker Invitational.
