MORRISVILLE, NY—The Morrisville State Theater Department and SGO will present the romantic musical, “The Fantasticks,” in the Little Theatre of the John W. Stewart Center for Student Activities (STUAC) on March 27, 28, at 8 p.m.; March 29 at 2 p.m.; and April 2, 3, 4, at 8 p.m.
This longest-running Broadway musical tells an allegorical story about two neighboring mothers who plot to get their children to fall in love.
Featuring music by Harvey Schmidt and lyrics by Tom Jones, it was awarded Tony Honors for Excellence in Theatre in 1991, as well as an Obie Award and the 1992 Special Tony Award.
“The Fantasticks” is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI).
General Admission is $8 and $3 for students. Tickets for the performances will also be sold at the door.
