Morrisville State names Amento, McVey Mustang Athletes of the Week for the week ending November 20

The Morrisville State College athletic department has named western equestrian riders, Amy Amento (Hamend, CT) and Richard McVey (Lakewood, PA) it's Mustang Athletes of the Week for the week ending November 20.



Amento earned a second place finish in the intermediate western horsemanship class in the first of the double show, qualifying for the Zone 2, Region 3 Championship show in March and earning five points towards the Mustangs win. She also pointed up to the novice horsemanship class, where in her first show at that level in the afternoon, took home the blue ribbon.



Amento is a junior equine science major at Morrisville State. She is the daughter of Linda and Peter Amento of Hamend, Connecticut.



McVey collected a second and first place finish in the beginner western horsemanship class, qualifying for the regional championships in March. In the double show he earned a total of 12 points, assisting Morrisville State in their victories to remain undefeated.



The sophomore is majoring in liberal arts and science: math and science at Morrisville State. He is the son of Penny and Bart McVey of Lakewood, Pennsylvania.
