Morrisville State hunt seat equestrian team posts fourth reserve honor of the season

The Morrisville State College hunt seat equestrian team posted their fourth reserve champion team honor of the season Saturday at the Skidmore IHSA Invitational, tallying 39 team points and nine class wins.



Teal Pedersen (Manorville, NY) remained on top of all competition with her third high point rider honor of the season following a first place finish in both the intermediate over fences and intermediate on the flat classes.



Jill Featherly (Hilton, NY) also posted a blue ribbon in the intermediate over fences class, while Rachel Kenney (Esperance, NY) took first in the novice equitation on the flat class.



Emily Overend (Lansing, KS) was first for the Mustangs in the intermediate equitation on the flat class with teammates Nicole Pulcher-Guzek (Troy, NY) and Janine Ordway (Long Valley, NJ) each posting top place finishes in the advanced walk trot canter class.



Alice Smith (Dansville, NY) and Krista Zielinski (Schenectady, NY) both compiled first place finishes in the beginner walk trot canter class.



Jamie Anderson (Harpursville, NY) qualified for the regional championships in the walk trot class later this season.



Skidmore won the show with 49 points, followed by Morrisville with 39, Hartwick 36, Siena 29, Colgate 28, RPI 22, Cobleskill 21, Oneonta 21, and Albany 18.



Morrisville State returns to the riding arena in February.
