Host Morrisville State scored twice in the second period to claim the 3-1 State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) victory over visiting Buffalo State.
The Mustangs improve to 3-15-2 overall, 3-8 in the SUNYAC, while the Bengals post a 9-9-2 overall record (4-6-1 in conference play).

In the second period Markowitz struck again, extending Morrisville’s lead to two at the 5:47 mark. Jamie Nelson (Stratford, ONT) scored the final goal for the Mustangs on a power play effort at 13:07.
Matt Bessing scored the lone goal for Buffalo State under two minutes later. The Bengals continued to fight and put a flurry of opportunities together, but were unable to find the back of the net again.
Christopher Azzano (Oshawa, Ontario) recorded the win between the pipes, posting 39 saves in 59:35 of play.
Carr had 17 on the night.
