Morrisville State hockey to raise funds for Multiple Sclerosis

Determined to make a difference on the ice and in the community, the Morrisville State College men's ice hockey program will be hosting a Multiple Sclerosis Charity Game on Saturday, February 4 against conference rival SUNY Oswego.



Multiple sclerosis is an autoimmune disease that affects the brain and spinal cord; and can cause blindness, muscle weakness and coordination, trouble with balance, numbness as well as memory related problems. Currently there is no known cause or cure, only medication that slows the progress of symptoms.



This terrible disease has touched the hearts of the Morrisville State College community as well as hockey program, both within our families and among our friends. Proceeds from gate receipts, raffles and the online jersey auction will benefit the Multiple Sclerosis Society.



Minimum bids for the jersey's start at $55 and bidding will begin Tuesday, January 24 at 9 a.m. The online auction will continue until Sunday, February 5 at noon. Winners will be announced Monday, February 6 on the Morrisville State athletic web site.
