Morrisville State hockey iced by Curry, 4-1

Steve Dol (Ingersoll, Ontario) scored the lone Mustang goal as visiting Morrisville State College men’s ice hockey dropped a 4-1  decision to Curry College at the Skidmore College Thanksgiving Classic, held Friday night in Saratoga Springs.

Morrisville State has yet to notch a win in the 2012 season, falling to 0-9 overall on the season.

Dol posted the tally at the 13:42 mark of the first period, with assists from Anthony Scornaienchi (Stoney Creek, Ontario) and Michael Markowitz (Staten Island, N.Y.), before Curry posted a shorthanded score to even the contest at one after the opening 20.

In the second, Curry rallied for three additional scores on the evening, including a power play goal just over two minutes in that proved to be the game winner.

Jakob Rasmussen (Vallentuna, Sweden) recorded the loss in net, registering 14 stops for the Mustangs.

Morrisville State returns to the ice tomorrow, facing host Skidmore College at 1 p.m.
