Reunions, a car cruise-in and a carnival will be among the events during Mustang Weekend at Morrisville State Sept. 20-22.
Festivities kick off Friday night with a 50-year anniversary dinner for the class of 1963.
“I think what is interesting about the 1963 graduates is that, for some, this will be the first time they've been back since they graduated,” said Kelly Gardner, coordinator of alumni relations. “It brings back a lot of emotions, old memories, and amazement when they realize how much Morrisville has grown.”
Saturday morning starts off with a 5K run and walk at 9 a.m. in front of Madison Hall. Other activities that day include a community picnic in the Administrative Quad at 1 p.m., a campus community carnival from 2-6 p.m. with games and prizes, face painting, and bounce houses. There will also be an antique tractor display, scholarship presentations, and fireworks.
Included in the weekend lineup is a visit from the Fort Rickey Zoo and the Out of the Cage Pet Mobile, lacrosse games, a homecoming football game, horticulture department plant sale and the annual auto club cruise-in.
The weekend events are open to students, family members, faculty, staff, alumni and emeriti, and members of the local community.
