Morrisville State field hockey powers past St. Vincent, 4-0

Four different players recorded goals as the Morrisville State College field hockey team put away two in each half to power past host St. Vincent College by a 4-0 final Friday afternoon in Latrobe, Pennsylvania.



Just five minutes into the contest, Rebecca Meyer (Morrisville, NY) knocked in a loose ball in front of net to give the Mustangs the early one goal lead. Continuing the fierce attack on net, Amie Dolson (North Syracuse, NY) extended Morrisville's lead at 19:20, netting the unassisted score for a two goal advantage. Morrisville posted 19 shots to St. Vincent's one in the first half.



In the second half, Brandi Ralfalko (Great Meadows, NJ) knocked in a ball after a scramble in front of net to make it a 3-0 game in the 59th minute, before Lauren Bordonaro (North Tonawanda, NY) tallied the fourth Mustang score on a penalty corner with three minutes remaining in the contest.



Kelsey Pellegrino (Cicero, NY) posted the shut out win in net, making three stops in 61 minutes of play. Mary View (Herkimer, NY) relieved Pellegrino for the final nine minutes.



Morrisville State held the 25-5 advantage in shots, and 19-1 advantage in penalty corners.



Morrisville State (8-7) returns to the field October 27 against Hamilton College.
