Tim Wierman, a nationally renowned speaker on the topic of sports nutrition, will be speaking at Morrisville State College tonight at 7 p.m. in the Student Activities Center Theatre.
Wierman will address topics related to sports nutrition including fuel for the athlete, pre-competition meal planning, recovery foods, and fluid replacements for the athlete.
Wierman founded the Eat to Compete “The Athlete's Sports Nutrition Program” in 1993 and serves as the program's president. He holds a masters degree in nutrition education and is a member of the American Dietetic Association. He has served as a guest speaker at more than 235 colleges and universities, high schools, clinics and professional conferences.
The event is free and open to the public.
