Morrisville State College will be hosting more than 30 employers at the 2013 Job and Internship Expo for students and alumni on March 28, from 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m., in Madison Hall.
During the expo, employers representing a broad range of industries will be available to answer questions about their companies, hiring practices, and current and potential part- and full-time positions, internships and volunteer opportunities. The event is free.
Barbara Roback, career planning and development officer, indicated that the strong response from employers reflects the value and versatility of the hands-on experience gained through a Morrisville education.
“Employers will be traveling from as far as Rochester, Albany, Oswego, and Greene, and are from the for-profit, non-profit, and government sectors,” Roback said. “They are looking for candidates with very specific skills such as auto and auto body repair as well as a broader skill set for positions in internships and training programs.”
Business casual attire is recommended. Participants are encouraged to bring resumes.
