Morrisville State announces new director of human resources

Sarah Steele, of Eaton, has joined Morrisville State as the Director of Human Resources, Affirmative Action and Title IX Coordinator.



Steele, an Illion native, will be the lead in the Human Resources Department, responsible for administering the college's and its employee's practices and policies, as well as payroll and labor relations functions.



Steele has more than 30 years of experience in the field of human resources. Most recently, she worked at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Conn., as Associate VP for Academic Affairs. In this role, she served as the human resource liaison for faculty. She also collaborated with faculty and senior administrators on policy development and implementation.



Prior to working at Quinnipiac, Steele was Director of Personnel Services at Hamilton College in Clinton.



Steele graduated with a bachelor's degree from Cornell University New York State of Industrial and Labor Relations. She and her husband, Jeff, have two grown children, Carolyn and Andrew.
