Morrisville Auto Instructor Selected to Present at International Conference

Morrisville State College instructor Loren Maki is among automotive professionals selected to present at VISION KC 2010, a hi-tech automotive training conference and expo in Kansas City, Missouri March 4-7.



Maki, of Canastota, N.Y., will present a “train the trainer” seminar March 6 and 7 on Techniques For Teaching Automotive Troubleshooting.



The annual event, hosted by the Automotive Service Association (ASA) for automotive service professionals, features the industry's best trainers offering the latest training on relevant topics. Training seminars cover collision repair, automotive management, and technical training.



More than 1,300 participants from the United States and Canada are expected to attend the conference, which offers unique training programs, cutting-edge technical training for entry-level to advanced drivability technicians, networking opportunities with suppliers and fellow service professionals, and an expo featuring products and ideas and the latest tools and equipment for the automotive service industry.



A native of Newfield, N.Y., Maki has taught in the Automotive Department at Morrisville State College since 2003. He earned an associate degree in automotive technology from Morrisville State College and a bachelor's degree from Cornell University. His credentials include ASE CMAT (Certified Master Automotive Technician) and ASE L1 Advanced Engine Performance Certification.



Prior to coming to Morrisville State College, Maki worked as a technician for Quality Auto Care of Cazenovia from 1999 to 2003.
