Meyer, Anderson earn All-SUNYAC Field Hockey accolades

The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) announced its 2012 Field Hockey All-Conference Teams, naming Morrisville State College’s Rebecca Meyer (Morrisville, NY) and Jamie Anderson (Harpursville, N.Y.) to its first and second teams.

Meyer earns first team honors following a 17 point season on six goals and five assists. She is tied in conference leaders at 10th in points per game (0.94) and is ranked eighth overall in assists recorded on the season.

The senior is a three year starter for the Mustangs at forward and midfield, and was a second team All-SUNYAC and All-Academic team selection last season.

A 2005 graduate of Morrisville-Eaton, Meyer is majoring in criminal justice at Morrisville State. She is the daughter of Nancy Pistley and Ed Meyer of Morrisville.

Anderson received second team accolades as a defender for the Mustangs following an 11 point season on three goals and five assists. Two of Anderson’s scores were on penalty strokes.

Anderson ranks eighth overall in assists recorded on the season in the conference.

The two-sport student-athlete for the Mustangs is a 2009 graduate of Harpursville High. Majoring in equine science at Morrisville State, she is the daughter of Melissa and Paul Anderson of Harpursville.
