Morrisville State College's Renewable Energy Training Center (RETC) will hold a workshop on Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency at the Norwich Campus of Morrisville State College on March 21, from 6-9 p.m.
The workshop will help individuals assess their interest in different renewable energy areas, assess what skills they need to prepare for jobs in the field and provide information on how they can personally conserve energy.
The workshop, which is free for participants who meet Department of Labor (DOL) eligibility requirements, will be presented by Jim Stanko, an RETC instructor. Stanko's experience includes more than 30 years with the Power Products Division of Hewlett Parckard, as both an R&D project manager and product marketing manager, investigating and selecting produce-market opportunities for power conversion technology.
For more information or to register, call 315-684-6391 or visit retc.morrisville.edu.
The Norwich Campus is located at 20 Conkey Ave., adjacent to the Eaton Center in downtown Norwich.
Morrisville State College's RETC is a multi-county alliance of employers, training providers, economic development partners and K-12 schools to address the long- and short-term needs of New York state's high-growth, high-demand renewable energy sector. It is funded in part, by a grant under the President's Community-Based Job Training Grant Initiative administered by the United States Department of Labor Employment and Training Administration.
