The Morrisville State College hunt seat equestrian repeated reserve championship team honors Saturday, recording 38 team points at the Hartwick IHSA Show in Oneonta.
Three riders qualified for the regional championships at the end of the season, Emma Monte (East Rochester, NY) in the intermediate equitation on the flat after placing third; Jill Featherly (Hilton, NY) in the novice equitation over fences after a blue ribbon on Saturday; and Kathryn Galyon (Pearl River, NY) in the advanced walk trot canter class after a second place finish.
Rachel Kenney (Esperance, NY) earned reserve high point rider honors after blue ribbons in the novice equitation over fences and novice equitation on the flat classes.
Teal Pedersen (Manorville, NY), in the intermediate equitation on the flat and Emma Perrault (Falmouth, MA), in the novice equitation on the flat class were other top finishers for the Mustangs.
Skidmore won the show with 44 team points, followed by Morrisville 38, Cobleskill 36, Colgate 30, Hartwick 28, Siena 28, RPI 23, Oneonta 20, and Albany 18.
Morrisville State hosts two shows next weekend, Saturday and Sunday, at the riding arena on Fearon Road.
