When Liam DiCosimo and Tim Paige's hardcore rock and roll band broke up, they weren't ready to call it quits.

They kept playing and writing new songs, this time focusing on a pop-punk sound like what they listened to and loved when they were kids, only with an added rock edge.

The musical mix led to great things for DiCosimo, Paige and the listening world.

Today, DiCosomo and Paige are part of the popular pop punk/rock band, Honor Bright. The five-piece, Syracuse band will perform a free concert at Morrisville State College on Sept. 23. at 8 p.m. in Hamilton Hall. Doors open at 7:15 p.m.

Attracting audiences with energetic and fan-friendly shows, Honor Bright has a musical style that's compared to bands like Cartel, Taking Back Sunday and Mayday Parade.

Band members have had their fill of limelight, appearing on MTV's show “TRL,” playing at K-Rockathon at the New York State Fairgrounds, and playing local and international concerts.

They have shared the stage with The Maine, From First To Last, and Emarosa's Jonny Craig, and have been hailed by the media, including Alternative Press (AP) and AMP magazines. AP recently named the group one of its “100 Bands You Need To Know” for 2010, which led the band to a prime slot on their South By Southwest showcase as well as a spot on this year's Bamboozle Festival in New Jersey.

In 2007, Honor Bright self-released their first album, “Build Hearts From Stars” then signed with Triple Crowns records and released their second album, “Action! Drama! Suspense!” in July of this year.

Band members are Liam DiCosimo-vocals, Ryan Gilmore-guitar/vocals, Curt Henry-drums/vocals, Anthony Merritt- bass/vocals, Tim Paige-guitar/vocals.
