Visiting Hamilton College women's basketball used a 19-4 run in the second half en route to a 62-35 non-conference victory over Morrisville State College Saturday afternoon in Morrisville.
Morrisville State drops to 1-6 overall, while Hamilton pulls even at 4-4.
Madie Harlem (Oneonta, NY) led all scorers with 20 points on the day, 12 in the second half, while adding six rebounds, three assists and four steals. Olivia Pimm (Clemsford, Mass.) added 12 points and grabbed six boards, while Dani Feigin (Scarsdale, NY) contributed nine.
Dyshea Smiley (Harlem, NY) netted nine points to lead the Mustangs, while Tierra Hollins-Hill (Bronx, NY) added eight, assisting three. Nijah Townsend (Bronx, NY) posted a team high eight rebounds in the Morrisville State efforts.
Hamilton led 28-25 at the half before breaking the game open with a 10-0 run over the first six minutes of the second period. Morrisville State continued to struggle from the floor, netting just four points in over 11 minutes of play, while the Continentals added nine additional points before the Mustangs could muster another tally.
Hamilton outscored Morrisville State 34-10 in the second half alone, shooting 46 percent from the floor, as the Mustangs struggled, hitting just 3-of-25, including 1-of-8 from behind the arc.
Morrisville State returns to the court Friday, traveling to SUNY Brockport before the Christmas break.
