Rich Manley found the back of the net in the final minute of the contest to lift host SUNY Geneseo Knights to a 4-3 State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) over visiting Morrisville State College Friday night in Geneseo.

Morrisville State drops to 2-6-1 overall, 1-5-1 in conference play, while Geneseo improves to 5-5.

The Mustangs trailed 2-0 after the first period, but early in the second, Jamie Nelson (Stratford, ONT) ignited the Mustangs offense with his third score of the season, finding the back of the net just 2:35 in off an Eric Geertz (Penn Yan, NY) feed.

Late in the period, Curtis Renaud (Carlisle, ONT) evened it at two in the 15th minute, as Jonathan Cristini (Mississauga, ONT) and Michael Cordi (Mississauga, ONT) collected the assists.

In the third, Geneseo regained the lead on a power play tally midway through the period, but Morrisville State responded with their own man advantage score at 15:38 as Todd Hosmer (Scarborough, ONT) posted the goal. James Jarvis (Pickering, ONT) and Patrick Stillar (Burlington, ONT) were credited with the assists.

With just 54 seconds remaining, Manley beat Morrisville State netminder, Colin Breen (Waterloo, ONT), low for the game winning tally.

Breen had 34 saves between the pipes for Morrisville State, as Geneseo had a 38-21 advantage in shots on goal over the Mustangs on the night.

The Mustangs return to the ice tomorrow on the road against SUNY Brockport.
