The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) announced its 2012 NEAC Men’s Soccer All-Conference selections, naming five Morrisville State student-athletes to its all-conference teams for the 2012 season.

Morrisville State posted a 13-4-1 regular season record, and finished second in the conference with an 8-1-1 record.

Senior forward, Sanley Pierre-Louis (Gaithersburg, Md.) earned first team honors, along with freshman defender Danny Peckham (Webster, N.Y.). Earning second team honors were sophomore midfielder Gilroy Alvarez (Gautemala) and sophomore midfielder Joey Plummer (Gates, N.Y.). Sophomore Jacob Chase (Cooperstown, N.Y.) received third team honors.

A three time all-conference selection, Pierre-Louis led the team in scoring with 14 goals and 1 assist for 29 team points, with 13 of those scores coming in conference action and three of them being game winners. Pierre-Louis had at least two goals in four different contests and registered two hat tricks on the year, which earned him three NEAC Offensive Student-Athlete of the Week awards this season.

Peckham led a defense that had five shutouts and just a 1.37 goal against average on the year, which included four shutouts and 1.08 GAA in conference action.  A sound one-on-one defender, Peckham proved to also be an offensive threat, as he tallied five goals, including a game winner.  His dual abilities led to one NEAC Defensive Student-Athlete of the Week selection.

Alvarez earned second team honors at midfield for his performance this season. Alvarez started in all 17 regular season games for the Mustangs this season and was third on the team in scoring with 5 goals and 3 assists for 13 points, including the game winning goals against Keystone College and Penn State Berks.

Plummer earned second team honors at midfield for the second time, starting in all 17 regular season games.  Plummer tallied 2 goals and 3 assists for a total of 7 points, as he skillfully controlled the central midfield for the Mustangs.

Sophomore forward, Jacob Chase, earned third team honors for his efforts on the front line for the Mustangs. Second in scoring on the team with 8 goals and 6 assists, Chase either scored or assisted the game winning goal four times. His 6 assists lead the conference and his 22 total points places him third overall.

Morrisville State will face-off against Cazenovia College, Saturday, November 3 at 10:30 AM for the semi final round of the NEAC Championship.
