Eight Morrisville State runners earn All-Conference honors

Morrisville State College had eight earn North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Cross Country All-Conference honors following their performance at the conference championships, Saturday in Abington, P.A.



Senior Austin Townsley (Horseheads, N.Y.) led the Mustangs to a close second place team finish with a third place individual finish, earning first team honors for the third consecutive season. Earning second team honors were junior Ben Sargrad (Manlius, NY) who crossed in 8th position, freshman Anthony Ostuni (Liverpool, NY) who finished 11th and following closely behind in 12th place, sophomore Shawn Okula (Medford, N.Y.).  Freshman Austin Hirsch (Morrisville, N.Y.) earned third team honors with a 20th place finish.



On the women’s side, sophomore Amanda Hunt (Tunkhannock, P.A.) earned first team honors for the second straight year posting a time of 23:00 and crossing the line in fifth position, while freshman Celine Eppolito (North Collins, N.Y.) posted a 9th overall finish for second team honors. Freshman Evelia Hehir (Washingtonville, N.Y.) earned third team honors with her 16th place finish. The women earned a fourth place team finish overall.
