Morrisville State College freshman pitcher, Jenna D'Ercole (Highland, NY) recorded her first win on the mound, throwing a no-hitter, as the Mustangs handed Hilbert College the 8-0 loss in five innings at the Fastpitch Dreams Spring Classic in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
D'Ercole struck out five in the win, throwing five innings for Morrisville State, as the Mustangs improve to 2-1 on the season.
Kayla Walker (Oneida, NY) led Morrisville State from the plate, hitting 2-of-2 and driving in four. Jessica Rigg (Homer, NY) was 1-for-1, hitting a double to record two RBI's, and adding two runs.
Emili Ripley (Batavia, NY) threw the loss on the mound for Hilbert, pitching four innings and allowing eight hits. Ripley also threw seven strike-outs.
Morrisville State returns to the field tomorrow against Pikeville College.
