MORRISVILLE, NY—SUNY Morrisville was formally awarded as the Grand National Champion of the 2018 U.S. Open College Beer Championship, as presented to the college that brews the best beers in North America.
The presentation was held at the Copper Turret Restaurant & Brewhouse, Morrisville’s student-teaching facility where the championship beers were brewed before the college was crowned as champions last May.

MORRISVILLE, NY—A preview of all the sights and sounds that are a part of Callahan Brook Nature Trail can now be viewed in one place, thanks to a recently unveiled new welcoming entrance kiosk.
The kiosk was funded by the Strong Hearts, Healthy Communities project through Cornell Cooperative Extension of Madison County. It is stationed at the entrance of the Main Trail, part of the one-and-a-half miles of marked, self-guided trails found at the site that begins behind SUNY Morrisville’s Aquaculture Center on Eaton Street.
MORRISVILLE, NY—The SUNY Morrisville Theater Department and Student Government Organization (SGO) present William Shakespeare’s romantic comedy, Twelfth Night, or What You Will, in the John W. Stewart Center for Student Activities (STUAC) theater Friday and Saturday, Oct. 26 and 27, at 8 p.m.; Oct. 28 at 2 p.m.; and Thursday through Saturday, Nov. 1-3, at 8 p.m.

The highly anticipated sale — the only one of its kind on a college campus in New York State — drew a crowd of potential buyers, sellers, trainers and owners from across the Northeast. All of the trotters and pacers sold are New York eligible.
Seven Spankings, a Chapter Seven colt out of Spin The Planet, topped the sale at $50,000, purchased by Wanda Polisseni’s Purple Haze Stables of Fairport, New York.
MORRISVILLE, NY—SUNY Morrisville will bring its innovation, animals and exciting hands-on approach to learning to the Great New York State Fair again this year. The fair runs Aug. 22-Sept. 3.
MORRISVILLE, NY—Three members of the Morrisville State College faculty and staff have been honored with Chancellor’s Awards for Excellence by the State University of New York and SUNY Chancellor Kristina M. Johnson.
Recipients will be recognized during the college’s 107th commencement ceremony, which will be May 5 at 1 p.m. in the Recreation Center.
