Morrisville State College athletic director, Greg Carroll, announced the addition of Lizabeth Aiello, to the department as an assistant athletic trainer and camp medical director.
Aiello comes to Morrisville State from Buffalo State College where she served as a certified athletic trainer, providing training coverage for football, women’s soccer, volleyball, ice hockey and track and field.
Also responsible for providing athletic training services for the football team camp and soccer prospect camp at Buffalo State, Aiello provided additional coverage at the University of Buffalo summer track and field, soccer and baseball camps over the past year.
Aiello earned her masters of science in athletic training from Daemen College in May 2013, where she also earned her bachelor of science degree in health care studies with specialization in health and fitness training the previous spring.
Aside from responsibilities associated with athletic training, Aiello also is a volunteer with the Hope for Tomorrow Foundation, traveling to Haiti for a medical mission trip this past summer, where she worked with orthopedic staff during pro-bono surgeries. Her efforts garnered her a Humanitarian Award at the conclusion of the trip.
Aiello hails from Rome, N.Y. where she was a two-sport student-athlete for Rome Free Academy in soccer and golf. She will serve on the athletic training staff for the Mustangs 16 intercollegiate athletics program, focusing on training coverage for field hockey, basketball and women’s lacrosse; and will coordinate medical needs for camps and clinics at Morrisville State.
