MORRISVILLE, NY — The Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) Baccalaureate/Graduate Degree Board of Commissioners has reaffirmed accreditation of the business programs at Morrisville State College.
Established in 1988, ACBSP is the only organization offering specialized business accreditation for all degree levels, from associate to baccalaureate to doctoral degree programs. ACBSP accreditation certifies that the teaching and learning processes within the business, sustainability, and entrepreneurship courses offered in the School of Agriculture, Sustainability, Business and Entrepreneurship at Morrisville State College meet the rigorous educational standards established by ACBSP.
“Morrisville’s association with ACBSP began over two decades ago. Our partnership has not only enhanced the scope and quality of business education at Morrisville, but has helped advance business accreditation throughout the entire country,” said Morrisville State College President Dr. David Rogers.
Morrisville State College was first accredited by ACBSP in 1992. That accreditation was reaffirmed in 2005. The University is required to go through the reaffirmation process every 10 years to maintain ACBSP accreditation.
“Morrisville State College has shown their commitment to teaching excellence and to the process of quality improvement by participating in the accreditation process,” said ACBSP Chief Accreditation Officer Dr. Steve Parscale, who will present the Certificate of Reaffirmation of Accreditation at ACBSP Conference 2015 in Philadelphia, Penn. on June 14.
“This reaffirmation of accreditation is evidence that Morrisville State College is committed to providing the highest quality business education for their students for the next 10 years, just as they have done since 1992,” said Parscale.
Morrisville State’s curricula are enriched with applied learning and pave the way for opportunity at both the Morrisville and Norwich campuses. An action-oriented, interactive learning lab, the college is a national leader in technology and has been lauded for its exemplary, innovative and effective community service programs.
In addition to being named to the 2014 President’s Higher Community Education Service Honor Roll, the college was recognized by U.S. News and World Report as an institution in the top tier of the Best Regional Colleges list and ranked second among regional colleges nationwide for outperforming its anticipated graduation rate.
