My name is Mike Duignan, I am the ASAP/ACE Director here at SUNY Morrisville. I have over two decades of experience working in higher education in Student Affairs, Operations, Assessment, Budgeting, and Student Success. I am from Utica, and I love Central New York as it has shaped much of my educational and life experiences.
My passion for working with students began at Utica University, which I graduated with a double major in Public Relations and Communications and continued when I received my master's degree from Russell Sage College in Organizational Management. These experiences, along with my background in higher education, have helped provide me with the support and opportunities to stay curious and be an advocate for others'.
Using that curiosity, I have worked with thousands of students throughout their academic and personal journeys. It is about helping them discover their passion, interest, goals, and identity in this world. To me it is not only about seeing them walk across the stage, but the development that starts before and after that moment.
In my free time, I like watching movies, gardening, outdoors activities and spending time with family and friends.
