As a professor in the Automotive Department, Matt Heckerman teaches Electronic Fuel Systems and Engine Performance/Drivability courses. He has earned both an associate's and bachelor’s degree in Automotive Technology from SUNY Morrisville, and a master's degree in Vocational Education from SUNY Oswego. He holds the following automotive certifications: ASE Certified Master Automobile Technician (A1-A8), ASE Advanced Engine Performance Specialist Certification (L1), ASE Auto Maintenance and Light Repair Certification (G1), 609 Refrigerant Recovery and Recycling Certification, NYS DMV Inspector Certification, and manufacturer specific training certifications through Subaru and Chrysler.
