Office/Department

Hi, my name is Khadija Moorer, and I am the Program Assistant/Student Success Coach for the C/STEP programs. I hold a Bachelor of Science dual degree in Psychology & Human Services from Cazenovia College, where I was also a proud HEOP student from 2019 to 2023. My journey through the Higher Education Opportunity Program (HEOP) has given me invaluable experience both as a student and a professional in the world of student success and engagement.

Currently, for CSTEP, I serve in multiple roles supporting student success, including leading our mentorship program, student success coach/advocate, and acting as a recruitment liaison. I am also an Academic Recovery student success coach, focusing on providing tailored support to help students reach their academic and personal goals and needs.

In addition to my work with college students, I am actively involved in the STEP program, where I provide academic support and create exploration opportunities for high school students in STEM fields. This role allows me to guide younger students in their academic journeys, helping them explore potential career paths and prepare for their future education.

I also served as a mentor for the HEOP/EOP Summer Academy programs, where I became passionate about supporting students as they adjust to and succeed in college on all fronts. Providing students with the tools they need to achieve continues to be the focus of my professional and personal development efforts.

Currently, I am pursuing a master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Le Moyne College. This next step aligns with my passion for providing meaningful, compassionate support to students and individuals, preparing me to become a licensed mental health counselor in the future.
