Jamie's extensive background in both public education and higher education uniquely positions her to contribute to the CSTEP team. With a decade of experience, she has honed her skills in supporting students and fostering their academic and personal growth. Her educational journey began with a bachelor's degree from Hartwick College, where her passion for student success flourished.
As a Student Success Coach at her alma mater, Jamie implemented holistic support strategies, ensuring that students not only excelled academically but also developed the skills needed for lifelong success. Her commitment to student development is evident in her role as the C/STEP Associate Director, where she works tirelessly to empower students to achieve their goals. In addition, Jamie oversees the STEP program in 5 districts and provides programmatic guidance to expose students in grades 7-12 to STEM fields. Through this work, the hope is to increase interest in STEM fields and New York State licensed professions.
In addition to her administrative role, Jamie has enriched the learning experience in the classroom as an adjunct instructor for the EOP Summer Academy and GNED-100. Her diverse experiences demonstrate her dedication to creating supportive learning environments and her belief in the potential of every student. With Jamie on the CSTEP team, students can look forward to receiving dedicated guidance and support on their educational journeys.
