These systems are critical to many fields, including natural resource management, environmental planning, and precision farming. The Global Positioning System (GPS) is a satellite-based navigation system created and operated by the US Department of Defense (DoD).

The “Basic QGIS Desktop Training” introduces the participants to the field of geographic information systems. It provides hands-on training on widely used open-source GIS desktop software through step-by-step exercises. It covers the basic concepts of working with vector data, including querying and symbolizing, labeling and classifying, creating maps, map projections and inventory operations, and creating vector data.

This American Heart Association BLS course is designed for healthcare professionals and others who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills. Participants will learn to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations, and provide early use of an AED. This course is an in-person instructor-led course taught by an American Heart Association Instructor.

As part of the Human Services Program (major # 0604), the Direct Support Professional I (DSP I) micro-credential includes two courses. HUMS 200 (Helping Process & Crisis Intervention) will provide students with the skills and strategies necessary in effective helping from client-centered and strength-based perspectives. HUMS 125 (Mental Health & Wellness) will address the intrapersonal, social, and environmental risk factors influencing health, mental health, and wellness.

Technicians who service motor vehicle air conditioners must be trained and tested through a U.S. EPA-authorized organization, such as ASE. Training programs must cover the use of recycling equipment in compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, refrigerant containment, and the effects on the environment. To be certified, technicians must review the training material thoroughly and then pass a test demonstrating their knowledge of the training material.

This certification allows students with an I-Car ID to do structural MIG welding applications in a collision repair setting. The outcome of the certification includes the ability to weld quarter panels, rocker panels, roof skins, and cab corners.
