Morrisville State men's soccer rolls past Gallaudet 5-1

The Morrisville State College men’s soccer team defeated host Gallaudet University, 5-1, Saturday afternoon in North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) play.

With the win, the Mustangs improve to 10-4-1 overall and 5-1-1 in conference play.

Morrisville State didn’t score until the 33rd minute of the game when Sanley Pierre-Louis (Gaithersburg, Md.) put the Mustangs on the board with his first of three goals on the day. From that moment on Morrisville State kept the momentum, as they scored five straight goals.

Chernor Barrie (Bronx, N.Y.) and Jacob Chase (Cooperstown, N.Y.) also notched goals for the Mustangs. Chase also added two assists on the day with Kevin Apenteng (Camillus, N.Y.) and goalkeeper Rob Larkin (Clinton, N.Y.) also recording assists.

Karlis Intsons scored the lone goal for the Bisons.

Larkin earned his tenth win for the Mustangs with three saves, while Eric Setzer recorded the loss for Gallaudet with ten saves.

Morrisville State is back in action on Sunday, October 14th as they travel to face conference rival Penn State Harrisburg at 2:00 pm.
