The Morrisville State College athletic department has named women's soccer midfielder, Krista Baxter (Downsville, NY) the Mustang Athlete of the Week for the week ending September 25.
Baxter led Morrisville State to a 1-1-1 week, recording three goals, including the game winner 33 seconds into the double overtime period over Wilson College on Sunday.
Baxter posted both scores in the 4-2 loss to St. Elizabeth before leading the women to its first league win of the 2011 season.
The graduate of Downsville High is majoring in criminal justice at Morrisville State. She is the daughter of Betseylynn and James Baxter of Downsville.
