The Morrisville State College field hockey team fell to Nazareth College to bring their season to an end tonight in Morrisville. Before the start of the game, the four seniors were honored for their dedication to the sport.
Molly Luzak (Burt, NY), Jennifer May (Rochester, NY), Lauren Bordonaro (North Tonawanda, NY), and Rian Tanski (Elma, NY) were the four seniors honored before the start of the game.
Four minutes into the game, the Golden Flyers' Emily Conway (Fairpoint, NY) scored the game winning goal, with an assist from Lindsey Wagner (Deposit, NY). Wagner assisted Kailee O'Hara (Camden, NY) for the next goal two minutes later.
Twelve minutes into the second half, Lindsey Smith (Cazenovia, NY), assisted by Elise Maryanopolis (Gloversville, NY), scored the final goal of the game to make it 3-0.
Kelsey Pellegrino (Cicero, NY) recorded the loss in net for the Mustangs, tallying three saves while playing all 70 minutes of the game. Kelsey Evans (Penfield, NY) had the shutout for the Golden Flyers, saving five.
The Mustangs ended the season with a 8-10 overall, 2-4 in SUNYAC play.
