3D Printer
The SUNY Morrisville Library offers 3D printing services to support the campus community's learning, creativity, and innovation. This service is available to current students, faculty, and staff for educational, research, and personal creative projects. Print requests must be submitted online in STL or OBJ format and adhere to university policies, including restrictions on weapons, copyrighted materials, and inappropriate items. Printing is free within limits: up to 100 grams of library filament per semester or unlimited with user-provided filament. Projects are handled on a first-come, first-served basis and are limited to 7 hours or 256mm³ in size. Users are responsible for ensuring their designs are printable and must pick up completed jobs within 30 days. Library staff may cancel or modify prints due to policy violations or technical issues. Computers
The library offers several desktop computer spaces for students, staff, and community use. Three Quick Print Station computers near the entrance of the library allow for fast and easy printing of documents. Four Sit down computer station are available in the back of the library near Tutoring Services on the first floor. On the second floor of the library several computer stations are available at a divided counter space with raised barstool seating.
External DVD Players
Students, faculty and staff may borrow an external DVD player which has a USB connection for one week loan periods.
Laptop and Cell Phone Power Cords
A variety of laptop and cell phone power cords are available at the circulation desk for check out and use in the library. The following power cords are available:
- iPhone 4 & 4S
- iPhone 5,6, & 7 (Lightning Bolt Cable)
- Android, Google, & Windows Phones
- Lenovo Thinkpad and Yoga
Portable Chargers
The library offers several portable chargers that can be taken out of the library. Adapters to charge different laptop models are also available.
Printing
The library Quick Print Station on the first floor allow for fast black and white printing between classes. Four desktops are available at the Quick Print Station for students to use and print their documents. A black and white printer is also available on the second floor next to the Computer Desktop counter. Students can also add library printers to their personal laptops. Scanner
The Morrisville Campus Library has two scanners for community use on the first floor. Scans can be sent to print, e-mail, Google Drive, or cell phones. This service is free of charge. Our scanner technology can also convert digital text into MP3 audio files. Ask at the circulation and reference desk to learn more.
