The Morrisville State College women’s basketball team posted a late second half comeback attempt, but ran out of time as Cazenovia College collected the 64-58 North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) victory Saturday afternoon in Morrisville.
The Mustangs drop to 1-17 overall, 1-9 in NEAC play. Cazenovia improves to 4-14 overall, 4-6 in the conference.

Morrisville State College students will be among those participating in this year's annual Winter Fest Feb. 9.
Indoor games, sledding, face painting, carnival games, an indoor slide and caricatures are among the activities planned during the annual event, which takes place from 2 to 7 p.m. at the Morrisville-Eaton Elementary School located on Eaton Street.
Events are free and open to the public.

The Morrisville Auxiliary Corporation (MAC) of Morrisville State College is hosting a day of events Jan. 26 in celebration of national skating month—January 2013.
The events, which are free and open to the public, take place from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. at the college's IcePlex and include hockey games, speed skating races, skating relays, synchronized, ice dance and singles figure skating exhibitions, and more.

Junior guard Jordan Prior (Cortland, N.Y.) posted a high 26 points to lead visiting Morrisville State College men’s basketball to a 71-58 victory over North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) opponent Wells College Wednesday night in Aurora.
The win is the ninth straight for the Mustangs who improve to a 12-4 overall mark, and remain atop the NEAC with a 6-1 conference record. Wells drops to 7-11 overall, 3-5 in conference play.

The Morrisville State College athletics department will be recognizing Tom Lemery, the long-time voice of the Mustangs, for his years of service to the college at the hockey game against Buffalo State College on Friday, Jan. 25 at 7 p.m. at the college’s IcePlex.
Lemery provided public address to the athletic department for more than 25 years, specializing in ice hockey and basketball.

The loss drops Morrisville State to 1-16 overall, 1-8 in conference action. Wells nearly pulls even at 8-9, while lifting their NEAC record to 7-2.

The ending couldn’t have played out any more perfectly than it did Saturday night, when Morrisville State College men’s ice hockey took SUNY Potsdam into overtime and dramatically posted a 5-4 State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) victory.
But what meant more than just the win on the ice, was the game that was being played to raise awareness for autism, organized by Mustang captain Jamie Nelson (Stratford, Ontario).

More than 900 high school students from 16 schools will have the opportunity to showcase a multitude of skills and talents in the Region II BOCES Skills USA competition being hosted Feb. 8 at Morrisville State College.
Formerly SkillsUSA-VICA, the annual conference features high school students from technical schools and BOCES programs throughout Central New York competing in a variety of events.
