Why Morrisville?

"I chose Morrisville because of the program and fantastic facilities. I love being able to work hands-on within the first week of classes. The small class sizes are also great! I love how the professors know me and can work with students individually. I felt welcomed once I stepped on campus."

Massage Therapy Facilities

Photo of Massage Therapy Facilities

Morrisville State College’s massage therapy students experience laboratory and clinical practice under the direct supervision of a licensed massage therapist. The on–campus massage therapy clinic currently offers traditional Swedish Massage with an integrated blend of advanced massage techniques and oriental shiatsu or Eastern massage.

The facility contains all of the equipment and supplies necessary to offer a full range of experience to students. Equipment includes massage tables, chairs, supportive bolsters and body cushions, oriental floor mats and a variety of lotions and creams to aid in tissue manipulations and provide for client comfort and safety. The clinic is available for students, faculty and staff and other members of the campus and local communities.

Students at Morrisville will experience small class sizes, superior facilities, assistance with job and career placement and the close support of dedicated instructors.

Admissions Requirements

Students must demonstrate that they have received an Eastern and Western massage from a licensed massage therapist within one year prior to enrollment.

Transfer students and students who are re-entering the academic world after a long absence or looking at massage as a second career are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Morrisville State College has a rolling admission policy; notification of acceptance begins November 1. SAT or ACT exams are recommended, and an on-campus interview is encouraged.
