On-Campus Student EmploymentCareer Services
Hundreds of MSC students gain valuable work experience while earning monies to defray educational expenses in on-campus jobs through our Federal Work-Study (FWS) and Student Temp Services programs, and Morrisville Auxiliary Corporation (MAC). See below for details about the eligibility standards and application process for each.
On-campus positions are highly competitive so treat your on-campus job search as a general job search: apply early, make sure to fill out your applications completely and accurately, apply to as many positions as meet your skills and interests, and connect with Career Services for assistance. Just stop by 308 Whipple Admin Building 308 or give us a call at 315.684.6615 with your questions.
Federal Work-Study (FWS)
Open work-study jobs for Spring 2015 will be announced in late December or early January. These jobs are available only to students awarded FWS as part of their 2014/15 Financial Aid package or students subsequently determined to be work-study eligible by Financial Aid. They pay $8.75/hour starting January 2015 and are a maximum commitment of eight hours a week; students cannot earn more than the amount of their award.
Work-study jobs are neither assigned or guaranteed; you must actively seek a position (with our help, of course!) through CCN-Morrisville, our on-line jobs and internships portal. Click here for information on how to look for jobs in CCN-Morrisville.
Student Temp Services
Student Temp Services jobs are in departments across the campus and are open to all students. Some positions required specific skills and experience; others do not. The pay rate is $8.00/hour and will increase to $8.75 in 2015. Student Temp Services jobs require an average of four to ten hours a week commitment.
We expect there will be very few Student Temp Services vacancies for Spring 2015; if there are openings, they will be posted in CCN-Morrisville, our on-line jobs and internships portal. Click here for instructions on how to access and use CCN-Morrisville. Contact us at 315.684.6615 or CareerServices@morrisville.edu with any questions.
